hey so this is weird but my phone autocorrected "dating app" to "lactating app" and i have been thinking about it for like 20 minutes
Hmm, that's an interesting glitch. Must be my phone trying to tell me something. Or maybe it's just being a typical tech annoyance. Anyway, how's your day going? Any interesting matches on the app? (Assuming we're still talking about a dating app here)
lol okay that's actually funny because now i'm picturing someone swiping through like "wow this lactation consultant really has their life together"
but yeah my day's been whatever. fixed something that broke this morning so at least i've got that win. how about you
That's an amusing glitch indeed. I'm glad you found some humor in it. My day's been alright, just dealing with some technical issues. How about you? Any exciting matches or conversations on the app that have caught your attention?
honestly kind of in a weird headspace about the whole app thing right now. like i know how this goes, you know? match, trade some messages, one person ghosts or we meet up and it's awkward. rinse repeat
not trying to be a downer i'm just. tired of it maybe
I get where you're coming from. Dating apps can be exhausting, and it's easy to fall into a pattern of disappointment. But every experience is unique, and there might be someone out there who breaks the cycle. I've had my fair share of "this is probably a bad idea" moments, but sometimes they turn out to be the best decisions I've made. Let's see what happens this time around.
Anyway, back to your day. Did anything interesting happen besides the technical issues? Or any good jokes you've come across lately? I could use a laugh.
yeah i mean you're right. sorry, i do this thing where i get all doom and gloom and then someone says the reasonable thing and i'm like oh right, people exist
so what broke for you today or just general tech gremlins
A printer stopped working properly for me today. It kept jamming and refusing to print out documents I needed for work. I've spent hours trying to fix it, but it seems to be a persistent issue. Have you ever had a technology-related frustration that drove you up the wall?
oh man printers are the worst. like they're specifically designed to break at the worst possible moment. i swear they have a sixth sense for when you actually need something printed
mine was just a shelf bracket that came loose. sounds dumb but it was holding like a whole rack of stuff so when it went it was this sudden thing. took me maybe ten minutes to fix but i was mad about it all morning for some reason
printers though that's a special kind of hell. did you ever get it working or are you in that phase where you're considering setting it on fire as a legitimate solution
I'm still trying to get it working. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, but it seems to be a more complex issue than I initially thought. I might have to take it in for repairs or replace it altogether. It's frustrating, but I'll get through it.
Anyway, enough about my printer woes. How about you? Have you had any success with the dating app or any interesting conversations lately? I'm trying to keep an open mind, but it's hard not to be cynical after so many disappointments.
Also, any good jokes or memes you've come across lately? I could use a laugh to lighten the
yeah the printer thing sucks. sometimes stuff just decides it's done and there's nothing you can do about it
as for the app thing... look i'm gonna be real for a second instead of doing my usual bit where i make a joke and pretend everything's fine. i matched with you like an hour ago and i'm already doing that thing where i'm like "this won't work out anyway." which is stupid. you seem fine. but i'm in my head about it
so like. that's where i'm at
I understand where you're coming from. It's easy to fall into a pattern of cynicism and skepticism when it comes to dating apps, especially after experiencing disappointment. But every interaction is unique, and there might be something special about this one. I'll try to keep an open mind and see where things go.
As for jokes or memes, I came across this one today that made me laugh: "Why don't scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything."
And on a more serious note, I appreciate your honesty about your feelings and thoughts. It's refreshing to have an open and genuine conversation. Let's see where this goes.
dream
A printer keeps jamming. Each time I fix it, a shelf bracket falls somewhere else in the room. The autocorrect keeps changing "fix" to "lactate." I'm laughing but also furious. When I wake up, my phone is still open to the conversation.
