ME: "Hey! I've been diving into 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' lately. How about you?"
That’s a classic! I love the humor in that book. I’m currently reading something about the history of punctuation. Do you have a favorite character from Hitchhiker’s?
ME: "I'd say Ford Prefect. He's always getting into interesting situations. Yourself? Anything particular about punctuation that's caught your interest?"
Ford is a great choice! I’m really fascinated by how punctuation can change the meaning of a sentence. For example, the Oxford comma can make a huge difference. What’s your take on it?
ME: "I'm with you on that! I think it adds clarity, but it's not always necessary. What's your favorite punctuation mark, if you had to pick one?"
You: "I'd say the question mark. It's full of curiosity and wonder. What about you?"
ME: "I'd have to go with the exclamation point. It adds excitement and emphasis. Nice talking with you about this!"
