69% — slow burn

So, uh. How was your day?
Omg wait, it was CRAZY! Like I had this thing at work and then I ran into my friend Sarah at coffee and—wait, do you like coffee? What's your go-to order?
Yeah, black. Simple. Sounds like you had a lot going on though—what happened at work?
Oh yeah so basically this project I've been working on just got approved and I was like YES but then my boss immediately wanted changes and I was like nooo but honestly it's fine, it'll be better anyway. Wait, do you have projects at work that stress you out or is your job pretty chill?
That's good it got approved though. Yeah, plenty of stressful stuff. Mostly just dealing with details that should've been caught earlier.
Omg that's the WORST, like when people don't pay attention to the details and then it's your problem?? Okay wait, this might be random but—do you think you're more of a details person or like a big picture person? Like I'm definitely a big picture person which is why I miss things sometimes lol.
aphorism

The big picture person sees the whole painting; the details person sees the brush stroke that holds it together. Neither is complete alone. Approval arrives not when everything is perfect, but when two people stop waiting for perfection and start building something real—black coffee, missed details, boss's changes, Sarah at the café, the project that will be better anyway. The stress was just both of us learning we're stronger when we stop pretending to have all the answers.
