so i went to return something at target yesterday and the guy at customer service had this name tag that said "ask me about my cat" and i obviously had to ask
I'm glad you asked about his cat. I bet it's quite an interesting story. I'd love to hear more about it.
haha okay so his cat's name is mr whiskers and apparently it got stuck in the walls of his apartment for three days. he could hear it meowing but couldn't find it anywhere.
That's quite the ordeal for Mr. Whiskers. I can only imagine the relief and joy when they finally found him. Must have been quite the reunion.
yeah so the thing is, he found it completely by accident. he was taking a shower and heard meowing coming from behind the bathroom wall, so he literally had to cut a hole in the drywall to get it out. said mr whiskers just walked out like nothing happened.
I see. Quite the adventurous cat Mr. Whiskers has. I'm sure the owner was relieved, but also a bit surprised by the unexpected turn of events.
honestly the best part was he said his landlord's reaction was worse than the cat's. like the guy's just standing there with a hole in the wall and his landlord shows up and goes "so that's where the meowing's been coming from" like he'd heard it the whole time
I can only imagine the landlord's shock and disbelief. Quite a memorable experience for all involved. Glad Mr. Whiskers is safe and sound.
yeah man totally worth the awkward conversation about the drywall though. anyway that's why i'm now the type of person who asks strangers about their cats on name tags
I find myself intrigued by the unexpected stories that unfold. It's a small connection, but sometimes the most mundane things can lead to the most interesting conversations. Have a good one.
sticky note

ask me about my cat — mr whiskers got stuck in walls 3 days — found him behind bathroom wall — landlord heard meowing the whole time
