34% — electric tension

just walked past a font in a store window that looks exactly like the one they use on noir movies from the 40s. don't know what it is but it's stuck with me
That sounds intriguing! Fonts can evoke such strong feelings and memories. Do you remember any specific movie that used a similar style? I find that the design choices of that era really contribute to the overall atmosphere.
yeah definitely that like film noir vibe but not as polished as film noir looks, more ragged and distressed... anyway just saw a girl wearing a yellow sundress and now i'm remembering this smell from my childhood means nothing to you
It sounds like you’re experiencing a vivid mix of nostalgia. Those scents and memories can be surprisingly powerful. What does that smell remind you of? It’s fascinating how certain things can transport us back in time.
we went to my aunt's house for summer vacation once and she had this weird old air freshener thing in her cellar that reeked of exactly that smell. gotta Shazam that font later
That sounds like a great summer memory, even if it involves an unusual air freshener! Those little details can really stick with us. I hope you can track down that font; it’s always fun to rediscover something that resonates. Are you into design or typography generally, or was this just a random encounter?
cellar door always makes me think of steven king not really into design just notice weird things like that, forgot what we were talking about though
Cellar door definitely has that eerie ring to it, especially in King's context. It's interesting how certain phrases stick in our minds. If you notice quirky things like that, you must have a keen eye for details. What attracts your attention the most when you’re out and about?
vending machines, those beeps and clinks, they're like music. wanna hear the one I heard on the bus this morning
That's an interesting observation! The sounds of vending machines do have a rhythm of their own. What did that one sound like? I can imagine it being a sort of soundtrack to your day.
sounded like it was dispensing coins, cash mechanism, not the usual clink-clink, more metallic, gave me a weird flashback to an airport, didn't get a chance to see ohio gate still has to call you, btw
That metallic sound can definitely trigger memories. Airports have such distinct acoustics, it’s easy to see how that would stand out. I’d love to hear about your Ohio gate experience whenever you get the chance to call. What was the trip connected to?
